Mina Lupato Nursery School
Early childhood is a time of wonder as children learn about the world in which they live. The goal of education is to encourage the development of children who are happy, compassionate, self-initiating, creative, inquisitive, and eager to learn. Mina Lopato lays a foundation for learning experiences by providing appropriate opportunities for these qualities to develop. We offer an environment where each child is respected as a unique individual, and we encourage the development of problem solving skills, decision making and communication skills. We support cooperative learning, and creativity and we promote the socialization and well-being of every child.
Mina Lopato fosters the integral connections between home, school and the community.
We reside in the grounds of the Greenside Shul and enjoy a good relationship with the Shul. Many of our families are members of the Shul, and derive much enjoyment from the activities of the Shul, religious and recreational.
Our nursery is a “traditional” Jewish nursery school and imparts sound Jewish values and teaching. We enjoy and share the magic of Shabbat each week with our children and we celebrate each Chag at school during the year. We use each Chag to develop the mitzvah of tsedka (giving) in our children and often collect for the underprivileged and aged to which these are distributed.
We are very proud of the calibre of our staff at our school. We are most fortunate to have an excellent team of teachers, all whom are experienced educators, and have taught at our school for many years.
We do regular assessments of our children, and are very in touch with each child’s development.
We have an excellent Speech Therapist and have access to an excellent Psychologist and Occupational Therapist when necessary
